Full Tilt bonus curse!!!
I have not posted here lately because I have not been playing very much and when I do play it has been bad news, and I am not all about bitching about every little beat, does not help to focus on negative and no one cares. It all started when Full Tilt sent me an email offering me $100 bonus. To clear the bonus all that I had to do is play for a certain amount of rake. Does Full Tilt really need to incentivize people to play? Whatever… Ok, so I accept the offer and start playing NLH and PLO. I start out pretty good and cleared the first couple of levels profitably. Then for some reason clearing the bonus and pulling this free money became more important to me than winning. I started to play WAY too much, and at times where I was super tired and making really bad decisions. I friggin tilted!!!! The tilt led to more tilt, and next thing I know I have dropped $300 trying to clear $100. I was pretty sour!! Not to mention that this bonus screws up my rake back!
I am calling this the Full Tilt mind fuck. I have never experienced tilt like this. I generally fully experience whatever feelings that I have at the time that I take a bad beat or make a bad play or any of the other situations that cause tilt. Fully experiencing these feeling helps to keep the tilt away. (BTW, when you see Hellmuth blow a gasket, I believe that this is how he experiences his feelings and wards off any long term tilt).
The Full Tilt mind fuck dug it’s insidious little self into my mind and camped out for about a month. I have eradicated this little bugger and he is no linger welcome. I am never accepting another conditional offer from Full Tilt. If they want to give me money then fine I will take it, but when I figure the rake that I pay and the rakeback that I miss out on and the super mind fuck tilt, I am convinced that these bonuses are total crap.

P.S. Nothing diminishes your optimistic view of humanity than searching for a picture to accompany my mindfuck theme with the google safe search turned off. People are seriously effed up.

Have also experienced what yr describing in yr P.S. several times. Had a post a couple of weeks back where I thought a picture of a donkey would suitably illustrate my theme. (Shamus shudders.)
