Meeting Ray Zee and Tommy Angelo
Sorry, I haven’t been posting. But when you are turning in a PhD thesis and moving to another city, there’s a lot happening in your life, that is not poker related. I have a backlog of ideas that I still want to publish in this blog, so I hope you don’t despair.
One thing I do want to write about is the meeting with some 2+2ers I had about 2 weeks ago (I know, I know, 2 weeks is a long time). Perhaps you have heard of Ray Zee (an article about him) and Tommy Angelo (his website), perhaps not. Stox (his website) was about to show up, but he went to the wrong pizza place, LOL.
Checking to induce a bluff
I have finally played some hands again, about 2k in 2008, which is probably laughable to some of you guys but with all the stuff that is happening in my life (I’m writing this post as my flight is delayed in Denver airport), getting SOME poker in my system is soooo good.
Looking back on 2007…
I’m back in the Bay Area, but only for a few days. Monday I leave again to go to a meeting in Texas. Life is exciting right now, but not regarding poker. I hardly have any time for it at the moment. Nonetheless, it is the beginning of the New Year and I wanted to reflect a bit on my poker year in 2007 as I had some revelations, especially in August. Don’t expect me to make any poker related goals for 2008, I’ll likely just break them. I just hope to keep on playing and having fun. Right now, I feel that’s enough.
Boom in Germany
I am in Germany right now, visiting friends and family over the holidays. Naturally with all the family stuff it is a time of little poker. I think I have played maybe 2k hands in December, which is really sad, because there seems to be an influx of bad players in the last few weeks. I don’t know if that is because of the proposed changes to the Internet Gambling bill or because of new players of emerging poker markets, but the games are not nearly as dry as they were 6-9 months ago.

Hello fellow bloggers and readers!
Just a small post to say hello and to wish everyone merry Christmas and happy New Year. May your 2008 be filled with lots of poker and life success. I’m very happy to be posting on this page. Right now, I can’t write that much, as I am in Germany visiting relatives, but I already have a post in the works about the amazing growth of poker in Germany since the last time I was here.
Anyway, so glad to be posting here. All the best on the new podcast.
